To source product to meet Sales and Margin Forecasts, fulfil Open to Buy and Events. A buyer will develop supplier relationships to ensure first choice for all clearance and opportunity buys and new products to market.

The Key Performance Indicators for a Senior Buyer - FMCG and the principle criteria by which they are measured are: -

• Range
• Sales
• Profitability
• Availability
• Stock

Who we're looking for
• Lead and manage direct reports within the approved budget

• Both with and by delegation ensure that all aspects of direct reports performance are properly managed: setting objectives, taking actions to acknowledge good performance and rectify poor performance

• To regularly communicate Business objectives and plans to direct reports so that they fully understand their contribution.

• Work cross functionally with Buying, Supply Chain, Imports, Retail Operations, Visual Merchandising and Marketing, sharing information and developing effective working relationships

• Proactively manage supplier relationships to identify areas where greater savings or business advantage could be made

• Complete regular store visits and demonstrate understanding of store operations

• Undertake all additional tasks at the request of line management
