Reporting to the Head Of Supply Chain, the Project Procurement Manager will take personal responsibility for the successful delivery of all aspects of the procurement lifecycle of one or more Projects and its respective contracts to the requirements of the Business in accordance with Group / Company procurement policies and procedures.
• Establish and maintain strong working / strategic relationships with Project Manager, Project team and relevant Business stakeholders
• Deliver Project Manager, Project Team / stakeholder expectations, in accordance with business objectives, policies and procedures throughout Project Procurement lifecycle
• Support the development and maintenance of external relationships in line with business strategy
• Develop and maintain comprehensive understanding / knowledge of supply chain in identified market sectors
• Manage evaluation of supply market for potential bidders in conjunction with other departments
• Develop, draft and secure approval of the Project Procurement Strategy and individual contract strategies
• Ensure Project compliance with all approved strategies to ensure timely achievement of all activities
• Management of the RFI/RFQ process
• Manage formal receipt and distribution of bids
• Manage formal commercial assessment process - in conjunction with Project Team, undertake comprehensive commercial, contractual and legal review of bids
• Prepare initial assessment and manage timely preparation of technical assessment
• Develop and implement an agreed negotiation strategy/Lead commercial negotiations
• Post Contract award, provide all necessary commercial / contractual support to the Project Manager and Project Team
Who we're looking for
• Expected to have significant experience in the field of construction / infrastructure or complex procurement projects
• Proven capability / skills in complex negotiations and deal closing
• Possession of relevant nationally accredited procurement qualification
• Ability to influence and manage across multi disciplinary teams
• Will be highly motivated and possess strong interpersonal skills; candidates should be capable of operating with the minimum of guidance and be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the business
