Reporting into the Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for Purchasing a wide variety of commodities and Services to meet organisational objectives. IN addition you will play an active role in supplier management, pro-actively developing supplier relationships and driving performance improvements. Additional responsibilities include:
• Managing and maintaining supplier commodity contracts, agreements and policies from initial negotiations through to regular performance reviews.
• Managing and maintaining commodity supply base to meet current and future requirements .
• Actively promoting individual supplier improvement plans .
• Provide active Supply Chain input and support to internal customers.
• Work collaboratively with key internal functions to provide tender support.
• Providing project representation and ensure a positive and proactive approach, effectively communicating Supply Chain status.

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following;
• Purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Problem analysis and problem solving
• Contract management
• Supplier development techniques
• SAP and MRP processes
• Planning Experience
• Relevant University Degree preferred
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply preferred or industry experience in a similar discipline
