My industrial client is at the onset of some very exciting projects over the next couple of months. Having gone through a recent transformation, my client are They are looking for a proven Infrastructure Solutions Architect who will take ownership of the Infrastructure refresh for the company and provide strategic direction while having the capability to be hands-on. The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities
- Act as a technical lead on translating all business and technical requirements into solutions
- Undertake the consolidation of the infrastructure in the first 6 months and create a roadmap for the future
- Persuasively articulate the features and benefits of existing technologies and business applications to key stakeholders in the business
- Develop and maintain successful relationships with managed service providers and the rest of the business
- Design solutions in accordance with the business needs and deliver projects on time
- Provide oversight, technical guidance and support for all infrastructure based projects
Who we're looking for
Reporting and working alongside the Head of IT, you will have the following skills
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Solutions Architect
-Solid technical skills in Windows server 2003/2008, Active Directory, Exchange 2003/2010, SQL Server 2010, HP server and SAN technologies, VMware and CISCO networking and architecture
- Backup and Disaster recovery
- Ability to analyse the existing set-up and provide a strategic overlay for the infrastructure roadmap
- Convert business requirements into solutions delivered by the infrastructure team
- Ability to deliver projects on time and within budgets
- Proven experience of being able to interact with the business, challenging stakeholders where required and conversing in a non technical manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of working in a consultancy environment is highly desirable
