Intranet Administrator

• Perform regular checks to ensure that intranet functionality is working as expected
• Maintain the home page, including adding and amending announcements and ensuring content on the page is kept up to date
• Maintain the Directory, including taking and uploading of colleagues' profile pictures
• Publish news stories and send out ad-hoc and regular formatted emails, including sourcing and formatting of relevant pictures
• Manage the team mailbox and the team work queue populated by the IS Helpdesk, including dealing with all incoming work requests, ensuring they are completed and reporting management information
• Provide support to the business when updating intranet content, either by coaching content editors and troubleshooting problems for them, or by completing the updates on their behalf where agreed
• Chair the weekly editorial meeting and control the flow of news stories and emails to the business
• Build framework of new sites as required for new intranet sections and create associated documentation
• Manage permissions
• Keep team admin documentation up to date and provide administrative support to Intranet Manager
• Finally, and in addition to the above key accountabilities, you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as the Company may reasonably require.

Who we're looking for
• Up to date appreciation of the technical requirements of the role e.g SharePoint and intranet administration
• Proven track record of knowing what it takes to provide a consistently first class customer service internally and/or externally
• Ability to build effective working relationships (internally/externally), establishing credibility amongst a wide and demanding client group
• Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous eye for identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies in data entry or data outputs
• Able to organise self including effective scheduling, prioritisation and time management skills, completing tasks to tight deadlines.
• Demonstrates a 'can do' attitude
• Comfortable taking ownership for own work, identifying the need for action (using initiative) whilst working effectively within a team.
• Displays a resilient and adaptable style, track record of remaining calm in demanding circumstances, adjusting comfortably to changing conditions / priorities
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Adobe Photoshop
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, ideally SharePoint 2010
