As the Business Analyst (Finance Manager)you will be working directly for the Finance Director (Manufacturing), providing financial and business insight and analysis across a large division of 8 business units. Responsibilities include; • Identification of areas of financial risk and implementation of controls and processes, • Consolidation of weekly and periodic management accounts and preparation of board presentations on financial performance for the manufacturing division, • Preparation of detailed business cases and financial support for acquisitions, • Consolidation of quarterly forecasts and budgets including analysis and presentation of relevant assumptions and inputs, • Coaching and development of Finance Graduate trainees. • You will deputise for the Finance Director in all relevant situations • Negotiations and discussions with various traders • Involvement in Merger & Acquisition activity

• Interpersonal skills - Liaising with both finance and non- finance colleagues across the wider business and representing a division of 8 business units from a finance perspective. • Ability to identify areas for improvement and drive the change process through the business, gaining 'buy in' from those affected. • Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a wider team, often managing conflicting requirements. • Excellent analytical and numerical skills supported by a relevant professional qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) and a good degree (2:1 or above) • The ability to work under pressure, answer difficult questions through data manipulation, and cut through complex data at pace • Strong communicator with the ability to influence both finance and non-finance stakeholders • Commercially aware with a strong focus on delivery • SQL skills ,with the ability to write queries at an intermediate level, and experience of databases • MS Excel skills with the ability to create meaningful analysis from raw data which is presented to the highest standard • Self motivation with ability to be proactive and show initiative
