The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role creating and implementing commodity strategies and leading strategic planning, commercial negotiations at a senior level and with the ability to work autonomously and with key business stakeholders. Other essential skills & attributes also required: o Oral and written communication skills essential and the ability to work at all levels of the organisation. o Negotiating and formulating Long Term Agreements (terms of business/price) pursuant to the agreed strategy. o Influencing skills and the ability to formulate and articulate complex strategies or models o Co-ordination of product transition in conjunction with other departments to ensure maintenance of the objective and strategy o Achieve the optimised Total Cost of Acquisition that best supports the business model and customer requirements o Ability to produce detailed plans and work to formal project management plans and techniques and always achieving deadlines. o Seek to develop areas requiring improvements through challenging the existing processes and status quo o Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and techniques. o To work cross functionally where required, engaging with stakeholders from within procurement and other departments o To travel globally, as may be required from time to time as required by the business and in support of the strategies you develop
