Procurement and Supply Chain Management (PSCM) is the process by whichmy clientpurchases goods and services from the external marketplace with the aim of maximising value to the business. Helping ensure we always have the right product, from the right supplier, at the right time and at the right price. This covers everything from office stationery to the stock in our convenience stores and the equipment to construct and operate an oil rig.
The Global Category Manager Instrument and Electrical, is responsible for the implementation, facilitation and influence of Instrument and Electrical category strategy and associated sourcing activities for eleven (11) Global refineries and four (7) Global petrochemical sites, plus the related Supplier Performance and Relationship Management activities.
The approximate spend in this category is $120m, which is focused around 7 major suppliers along with a large number of regional and local suppliers. The supply base is largely consistent across our refineries.
The incumbent is expected to work with very minimal supervision and to network independently with senior leadership teams and key influence leaders across a wide spectrum of Sites, business groupings and Functions. Success for this role is defined by developing the category strategy, establishing forward looking demand profiles, executing appropriate sourcing activities which are supported by the business to enablemy clientto meet and more importantly beat our competition in terms of purchase cost, TCO, and/or supply stability.
Who we're looking for
Essential Education
• Minimum of B.S. or equivalent in Supply Chain or a relevant engineering, scientific or business discipline.
Essential experience and job requirements
• A solid track record of exceptional savings performance and delivery over a number of years of experience comprising a mix of operations, business and supply chain management skills preferably in a Refining (Oil & Gas) industry.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior management, teams and individuals across multiple cultures, disciplines and geographies.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence third parties such as suppliers, governmental organizations and partners.
• Ability to manage organization and behavioral change.
• Willingness to travel and develop first hand understanding of Sites and the wider organizational challenges.
• Experience in collaborating with multiple sites to drive common solutions.
Desirable criteria & qualifications
• Implemented Instrument and Electrical sourcing programs in a large scale process based manufacturing facilities preferably in the oil and gas or petrochemical.
• Direct sourcing experience in global competitive countries such as Asia and South America.
MCIPS/ISM certification.
• Experience of and/or expertise Ariba e-sourcing or other e-Procurement tools.
• Understanding or first-hand experience with I/E technology in a hydrocarbon
