Purchasing Manager

Consumer Durables

Reporting to the Purchasing Director, your role will have responsibility for managing a small team of buyers and for the management and direct negotiation of your own categories

We are seeking someone with a broad functional knowledge of raw material and company services. This will include: energy, office and industrial services, property, marketing, IT, marketing and logistics.

You will be responsible for the development of the purchasing strategies whilst ensuring the process and the performance of the team are in line with annual targets. The role will natural operate with a high degree of autonomy and a proactive management approach to your team in authorising contracts, negotiations and cost reductions.

Who we're looking for
Required skills
• Broad procurement experience<BR>• Strong understanding of P2P processes
• Proven negotiation skills
• Ideally degree qualified or CIPS
• Able to travel
• Previous staff management of a purchasing team
