Our team of Senior Buyers are responsible for delivering the development and implementation of category plans to their particular product ranges. This involves supplier selection, range selection, supplier negotiation, an in depth customer and competitor knowledge all required to drive to meet and exceed challenging sales/margin £/margin %, rebates &contributions targets and product marketing. Working in partnership with the Supply Chain, Marketing, Store Development, Quality, Operations and Multi-channel teams the Product Managers will be responsible for delivering a industry leading range of products to both our store and online customers. Through their excellent knowledge of our customer requirements they will build both product ranges and services that provide us with a clear differentiation from any competitors and grow our sales, market share and brand strength.
Who we're looking for
The role holder will require: Excellent negotiation skills A proven track record of high performance in a high profile Buying role An ability to thrive in a fast-paced and pressurised environment An ability to develop and manage excellent relationships with key branded and unbranded suppliers A strong ability to analyse financial and competitor data to inform commercial decision making Experience of developing and sourcing products (preferably with experience of Far East sourcing) Experience of Product Marketing including pricing, promotions planning, advertising, POS and display A high degree of tenacity and drive Excellent communication and influencing skills Experience of good cross-functional working An ability to demonstrate creative flair
