This is a compliance generalist role however there is a specific focus for someone with an interest in regulatory policy as this role will support our Regulatory Oversight Group which looks at new regulatory developments and their impact on the Group. In addition to that however, the individual will be expected to get involved in other aspects of Group Compliance work which are extremely varied in the light of the new regulation with which the organisation will be faced in the short to medium term.
Taking responsibility for or assisting with; Ì? the continuing development of the Group Compliance Function Ì? providing support for the Regulatory Oversight Group including keeping track of forthcoming regulatory developments and upstream risks and their implementation, where relevant, across the group; Ì? ensuring that appropriate regulatory training is provided to those working in Group functions; Ì? the development and update of Group regulatory policies which provide a basis for the regulatory policies Ì? compliance monitoring across the Group; Ì?the preparation of Compliance Management Information reports for presentation to relevant Boards and Committees; Ì? provide advice and guidance when required to Divisional compliance officers and to Senior Management; Ì? Compliance reviews and investigations; Ì? pre-clearing and monitoring personal account dealings; Ì? Change in Controller notifications to the FSA. Ì? due diligence for Group acquisitions.
Who we're looking for
Generalist knowledge of FSA rules. Good communicator. Professional approach to commercial and strategic business issues. Experience in giving front line support to FSA regulated businesses. Excellent written and verbal communicator. Commercial approach to compliance activities. High levels of drive and self motivation. Ability to analyse the practical outcomes of regulatory developments.
