An exciting Commercial Accountant opportunity existswithin a dynamic, pro-active business facing team; providing a high level of commercial support to the decisions that ensurebusiness distribution channels continue to grow. This is not a Central Finance role. This position sits in an innovative and fast-moving commercial finance environment that's driven by exciting marketing strategies and motivators rather than more traditional financial services models.
Therole will be to provide commercial support to the business in securing distribution arrangements with key customers, evaluating initiatives, developing and pricing our propositions, performing contract negotiation and managing our stakeholders, suppliers and partners. Working closely with our sales, marketing, proposition, legal and compliance teams;the post holderwill be expected to provide all necessary commercial support as well as provide financial and non-financial performance information, insight and recommendations to enable senior management across all of our distribution channels to make informed business decisions.
Who we're looking for
• CCAB qualified accountant. • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial ideas and content to non-finance professionals. • High level presentation, negotiation & influencing skills. • Strong technical financial accounting skills and understanding of a full range of financial disciplines. • Self-starter who can raise and tackle difficult issues swiftly and decisively. • A high degree of personal ownership. • Strong commercial understanding. • Excellent Excel modelling skills. • A pragmatic approach to getting things done and a desire and capability to challenge traditional industry thinking and behaviour.
Candidates with a ICAEW qualification and "Big 4" accountancy firm experience will be of particular interest.
