As Development Director your responsibilities will be: Coordination of external teams through the various design and development stages. This includes consultants, specialist, contractors, authorities, statutory undertakers and others. Project evaluation and viability, consulting with the CEO and Financial Officer and prepare viability analysis and financial and development structure. Coordination and monitoring of the planning application process with external planning authorities and ensure timely flow of information and delivery of approvals. To be familiar with the planning application due process and be able to identify critical procedural requirements. Assess the impact of planning modifications on the viability of the project, considering financial, practical implementation and programme of delivery Building and managing a technically capable and commercially astute delivery team Work alongside the Clients Relations Committee, its decisions and monitoring of infringements and development requirements of investors Day to day monitoring of activities, safety processes and site security measures through construction manager activities
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate must posses following skill set, qualifications and experience: • MRICS / MCIOB or MAPM qualified • Demonstrable experience of delivering high end mixed use or residential schemes at least 10 stories high in central London • A development past that shows the full cycle completion of large scale construction projects over £100m in value (including planning applications and liaison with local authorities) • Previous roles that have necessitated the establishment/management of a development/delivery team, including appointing consultancies and contractors • A prior history of reporting and presenting to the board is absolutely essential
