The Supplier Quality Engineer will provide support to both the production team, and the new product development team. The Supplier Quality Engineer will ensure the inclusion of appropriate quality requirements, such as Quality Inspections and First Article Inspection during contract agreement phase. and monitor compliance to these requirements and performance expectations during product realisation stages. The role will also be responsible for the management of the complaints process where vendor non conformance is suspected, including Material Review Board activities.

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
•A degree in an Engineering subject preferred
• Lead Assessor status in either TS16949:2009 or AS9100 revision C
• Exposure to Problem resolution techniques, 8D, 5Y etc. FMEA + MSA.
• Membership of appropriate professional body such as Chartered Quality Institute
• The ability to influence people at all levels of an organisation, both internally and externally.
• The ability to negotiate through conflict to achieve desired results.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• The ability to work independently, as part of a team or to lead a team.
•A thorough understanding of Quality Management System standards, ISO9001, AS9100, TS16949.
• The ability and aptitude to interpret and understand supplier manufacturing and QMS processes.
• The ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written contexts.
• A thorough understanding of Advanced Product and Quality Planning tools e.g FMEA and MSA.
