Procurement Development Manager

A brand new role to develop a greenfield procurement function at this international charity. You will be responsible formanaging theexpenditure of the charity by creating, developing and implementing professional procurement practices and ensuring these are adhered to

Who we're looking for
You will have experience of:
• Managing end to end procurement in several of the following categories:
- Fundraising and Marketing Contracts
- IT
- Consultancy and other Professional Services
- Travel
- Office consumables
• Developing and implementing procurement processes and procedures, ensuring these are appropriate for use by non procurement professionals. • Ideally you will also have experience of training and influencing purchasers on adherence to procurement policies and procedures
• Working within a demanding environment
• Contract/supplier negotiation and management
• Working with purchasers and budget holders to develop their requirements, ensuring appropriate support and challenge to consider variety of options which would meet their specific requirements
• Reviewing purchasing arrangements and contracts to identify potential savings opportunities

You will be wholly responsible for the entire procurement function therefore the ability to work independently, proactively communicating the benefits of proper procurement to internal stakeholders, unfamiliar with this process, is essential.
