Save the Children International has been formed to take on the international programmes of its members, thereby creating synergies and saving costs and in turn delivering more for children.
Key Responsibilities: • Direct and lead the strategic and operational development of the internal audit function and develop articulate, fluid and holistic audit plans; • Engage with the Board and key stakeholders providing appropriate assurance on the organisation's strategies and plans; • Influence and facilitate change across the organisation to procedures and controls, ensuring they remain effective, efficient and responsive to the organisation • Manage and mentor the team promoting a culture of empowerment and pride through own actions and words; • Manage the Global Assurance worldwide budget. • Drive commercially-viable solutions
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be/have: • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CPA (or oversees equivalent) • Evidence of progressively responsible auditing experience (internal and/or external) ideally gained ina global, multicultural environment; • Significant management experience; • In-depth understanding of risk and its implications on not-for-profit organisations is highly desirable • Comfortable working with audit committees; • Conceptual and strategic thinker who is able to deliver to tight deadlines and summarise technical documents into layman terms; • Personal credibility, gravitas and effective influencing skills; • Willing to travel internationally up to 35%.
