As a result of QA Business School's ('QABS') success and rapid growth, a Finance Director is required to support the Managing Director and to join the management team of this exciting and fast moving young business. As part of a group with revenues in excess of £100m, wider career opportunities exist in the future for the successful candidate.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an intellectually strong accountant with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong commercial acumen to play an integral role in driving this business towards achieving its ambitious growth plans.
Key duties:
• To work closely with the MD and management team to drive continuous business improvement.
• To implement and maintain strong financial controls and processes, ensuring sound financial and commercial management, including budgeting, forecasting and revenue management.
• To develop management information and key performance indicators to support the profitable growth of the business.
• To identify and execute process improvements to drive the profitability of the business.
• To provide commercial analysis and decision support to the MD.
Who we're looking for
A highly intelligent, ambitious and entrepreneurially minded accountant who, as well as having a good technical grounding, possesses the energy and clarity of purpose needed to help drive the business forward. As the business is only recently established, the role would suit an individual with a flexible, open approach who is not afraid to be hands on.
The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified, having trained in the 'Big 4', however exceptional CIMA qualified accountants will be considered. It is important that candidates are comfortable in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment and that they have the intellect, confidence and commercial awareness to challenge the business and add value to the management team.
