Due to an internal change in the senior management team, the Bureau is looking to recruit a Director of Water Services. Reporting to the Director General, responsibilities will include:
• Managing and directing the strategy and performance of the Water Services Division, • Providing expert professional and technical advice to all internal and external partners. • Ensuring that the Bureau's statutory duties are fulfilled. • Developing strong relationships with Licensees and ensuring their compliance with technical regulations, • Leading and motivating divisional staff. • Representing the Bureau at external meetings and events.
Achievement of key work streams to deadlines is of critical importance as is the ability to work as long as it takes to achieve various sector objectives.
Who we're looking for
Potential candidates will have already enjoyed a successful senior career in the Water / Utilities industry. You will have exceptional all round general management experience, coupled with strong technical and operational skills. Comfortable working in a regulatory environment, you will be undertaking a highly visible, leadership role that requires you to build positive and long lasting relationships with individuals at all levels and backgrounds.
About our client
The Regulation and Supervision Bureau's main duties concern the water, wastewater and electricity sector of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Regulated activities include generation, transmission, distribution, sale and treatment of water including wastewater products. The Bureau is a non profit organisation, which is funded by the payment of fees by licence holders and generally applies UK style economic regulation and WHO water standards across sector companies.
