The role of Director - VAT will provide advice on a wide range of subjects to existing clients of the firm (both direct to the client and to other professionals within the firm) and will take some responsibility for Business Development of the firm's VAT services to new clients.
The position available is within the VAT group, which currently comprises a number of VAT specialists. They are responsible for providing advice and assistance to clients on a full range of VAT issues, including: reviews and recommendations for saving tax, arrangement of VAT registrations and setting up of accounting procedures, negotiations with Revenue & Customs on behalf of clients, and advice on VAT requirements within certain specific business areas such as the land, property and construction industries, the not for profit sector and the travel industry.
The successful candidate will possess an excellent track record within VAT preferably across sectors.You must be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and motivation for selling services to existing clients of the firm and to non-clients, including taking responsibility for marketing projects.

Who we're looking for
• CTA qualified
• Proven track record at Senior Manager level or Partner in a smaller firm
• The successful candidate is likely to have a general practice background and should have been involved in all areas of advice
• Knowledge of the property sector would be a distinct advantage
• Ability to demonstrate a track record of winning new business from existing clients and those new to the firm is important.
