This exciting client side role encompasses two main remits:
1. M & E manager - advising and monitoring the design, construction and commissioning of a large construction project ensuring the building systems specified are capable of being operated and maintained cost efficiently. 2. Develop and lead the building engineering activities/facilities through construction to full operational handover with the on site team
This role includes but is not limited to the following objectives: • Review and ensure the facility commissioning and construction handover occurs in line with the programme; • Support the construction project in finalising the ongoing maintenance requirements; • Prepare and monitor the operational facility budgets from construction through to operation; • Define and select resources (in-house or outsourced) for establishing the PPM; • Develop the work to be completed by the Equipment Coordinator, as such bridge the gap between the construction and operational project teams helping co-ordinate the installation of high value technical equipment;
Who we're looking for
In order to be successful for this role you must possess the following attributes: • An engineering degree qualification coupled with a professional body membership; • A very technical construction background, heavily biased to "clean" biomedical environments. • A working knowledge of the building and commissioning process of medical/high containment facilities. • Detailed knowledge of construction projects relating to the requirement for the installation of high value scientific equipment. • A detailed understanding of operational facility planning, covering policies and budgets. • A history of establishing internal operational engineering/technical resources and outsourced services. • The ability to work autonomously, exceptional communication skills, previous multiple stakeholder management and prior business reporting are absolutely essential.
