Ensure HACCP documentation is current and reviewed annually. Collaborate closely with NPD, packaging teams and Operations to ensure any new products, materials or equipment pass the required HACCP criteria before introduction to the site .No major non-conformances to be recorded on any external audit
Ensure compliance to the correct hygiene standards by routine monitoring of micro results and by conducting Hygiene and Housekeeping and other similar audits. Analysing audit data with the Operations functions and ensuring improvement plans are implemented and tracked. No major non-conformances to be recorded on any external audit
Management of all Quality Systems at a site level and maintenance of current accreditation status - - A grade or better at BRC - Green or better Customer Audits - Labcred and no critical defects on any audit including ISO
Establish and maintain a chemical and microbiological sampling and testing plan to meet business and customer requirements. Annual review of plan to be completed and updated
Examine, identify and control the disposition of NCR stock
Review KPI's to ensure continuous improvement is applied across all areas of customer base - provision of data to Customer Technical Manager for customer kpi reports according to timetable
To accurately evaluate the extent to which increased awareness of quality may contribute to achieving the organisation's Strategic Pillars, by seizing opportunities to promote awareness of quality though policy and process.
Participate actively in daily manufacturing review meetings to raise issues and drive the quality ethic.
Investigate and trend site complaints and implement corrective actions to reduce/eliminate issues - publicise the corrective action close outs on a monthly basis
Participate / host customer and 3rd party audits and visits and liaise with suppliers.
Administer and advise on procedural, process and policy changes and their implementation ensuring training, tools and techniques are delivered to enable others to achieve quality standards.
Who we're looking for
• Understanding and awareness of ISO 9001/2000 standards, LabCred and the competence to manage effectively.
• High level of understanding of BRC audit standard & specific customer standards e.g. Tesco PIU
• An effective understanding of Manufacturing technology and process and the quality risks associated with an FMCG company.
• Ability to provide an education and training resource for all operators in key quality tasks
• Ability to analyse, interpret and understand trends in data and how these may affect the business.
• Ability to understand the principles and processes of effective communication/presentation and when/how to apply them in all aspects of the role.
• People Management knowledge, the ability to develop and motivate direct reports ensuring maximum performance output is achieved by managing through people processes and policies.
• Understands the principles and processes of effective communication and how to apply them, also to understand how to give feedback in a way which enhances confidence and commitment.
• Understands the principles of quality auditing and how to conduct an audit investigation.
• Understand how to collect and validate sufficient information on the effectiveness of quality assurance systems to make recommendations on improvement.
