As the number 1 in finance for the business your role will be to manage the day to day running of the department as well as providing commercial support to the senior directors as the company expands. With two direct reports the function is largely undeveloped and a blank canvas for those wishing to make their mark. The business will also require a systems upgrade soon so candidates looking to gain or build on experience of sourcing and implementing a system will not be disappointed.

Candidates will also be expected to evolve into a more commercial role as the business grows, supporting contract bids, looking at contract spend control and giving input into the strategic direction of the business.

Who we're looking for
We are looking for an ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant with hands on experience within SMEs. You will already be able to speak about a recent SME setup or overhaul, having implemented or improved an IT system. This role is ideal for the self motivated candidate looking to gain hands on experience in a number of key career progression areas.

Candidates with contract accounting experience within a similar sized business are well aligned to this company and its business model.
