This is a pivotal role for The Action Group. As Senior Manager: Human Resources you will be key in driving the development of the organisation and its people.You will play a fundamental role in supporting and delivering the HR business plan during an exciting period of change. A natural communicator, you will provide leadership to the organisation, especially through change and ensure that their people can accomplish their aims and objectives. You will ensure that Human Resources, Staff Development and Administration Service teams are effective and efficient in terms of planning, retaining and developing the workforce to a high standard. This should be done reflecting the Vision, Mission and Aims of the organisation, the business plan and other agreed developments, and should be continually reviewed in line with best practice and the law. This truly is an exciting role for the right candidate. You will have overall responsibility for all aspects of recruitment development and retention within the organisation. Furthermore, you will ensure terms and conditions and other relevant HR policies are legally compliant and reflect best practice. In addition, as a member of the Senior Management Team you will also support and advise the Board of Directors in its governance of The Action Group and will be responsible for the implementation of policy throughout the organisation and for the accomplishment of agreed objectives. You will participate fully in the strategic planning (Business Plan) of The Action Group.
Who we're looking for
The Action Group is very person-centred charity, they are the organisation that cares. They seek a credible and articulate HR professional to join their team. CIPD qualified and with a breadth of operational generalist experience of the HR function at a senior level, the ideal candidate will have experience of dealing with all aspects of HR activity which will include recruitment and selection, employee relations, business planning, administrative systems, training and development. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. A proven track record of managing innovation and change would be desirable. Please note, the post holder has day-to-day operational control of Human Resource, Training and Administration within agreed budgets, policies and procedures. As a Senior Management Team member the post holder acts on behalf of the Board of Directors.
