Kensington
Permanent ⁄ £35000 - £42000
Updated May 2, 2012
If you are passionate about music as well as supply chain management, then look no further. This is a new role which is focused on the development of demand planning for Universal Music group, based in West London.
Your genuine interest in popular culture and the music business means that you can provide an excellent service through your knowledge of market trends and insight. With a product range spanning all international territories and also every conceivable music genre, this will require analysis from both a quantitative and qualitative perspective.
From a quantitative perspective, you will be responsible for maintaining product algorithms, seasonality profiles and replenishment parameters, whilst continually monitoring the more qualitative 'softer' side of market trends and promotional activity.
Who we're looking for
You will be focused on a range of new release and also back catalogue products, each with their own specific challenges and demand fluctuations. So you will have experience in dealing with a vast range of products, preferably a mixture of slower moving products and volatile faster moving items.
You will have exposure to working in an international environment. Business is conducted in English and you will need to speak a second European language (Ideally French, German, Italian, Spanish and Scandinavian)
Key to your success will be maintaining a minimum level of stock holding, whilst ensuring excellent product fulfilment to key customers.
You will also be adept at working cross functionally with marketing, sales, finance and distribution colleagues to ensure continuity of supply whilst maintaining optimum levels of stock holding.
From a systems point of view, you must have a track record in utilising forecasting & replenishment technology, ideally within Manugistics or other leading ERP systems.
