This County Council along with other public sector bodies, is currently encountering unprecedented levels of change in response to cuts in public spending. However, unlike some others,This CCis taking this opportunity to conduct an ambitious transformation programme rather than focusing on financial cuts. In order to boost an already successful internal consultancy team we are looking to recruit to the post of Senior Financial and Management Consultant, a role that will play a key part in the transformation programme for the CC, this role is based in Hampshire.
Who we're looking for
•Engaging with strategic corporate initiatives • The provision of strategic financial support • Leading the identification and development of innovative approaches to business and performance improvement • Providing specialist advice and guidance to departments reviewing the value for money achieved by existing structures or the design of new structures • Taking a professional lead in a number of specialist areas • Engaging with the design and development of specialist training as part of the Corporate Learning and Development Programme • Relevant knowledge and experience (ideally both public and private sector) to ensure that the County Council is fit for the future and able to deliver sustainable business services in an increasingly competitive environment • Excellent communication skills, professional and articulate, with the ability to deal with complex information and present it simply • Proven ability to think on their feet and to know how to respond/react in challenging situations • Proven ability to influence customers and colleagues, encouraging them to engage using their ability to sell ideas and having an insight into future requirements • Strong numeracy skills, experienced in financial analysis and scenario modelling
