Finance Director

The Finance Director will be responsible for the financial operations of Laurence King Publishing Ltd and will be a member of the Board of Directors responsible for the strategic management of the company.

Managing a small accounts team, the main responsibilities will be:

• Prepare quarterly trading forecasts and budgets, including cashflows and other appropriate management reports.
• Provide quarterly Management Accounts and monitor performance against forecasts and budgets.
• Work on specific projects which require detailed financial analysis, often at the request of the Managing Director
• Control of the Company's finances including overdraft facilities, foreign currency, and treasury functions.
• Management of relationship with the Company's Bankers.
• Ensure monthly payroll and VAT is properly managed.
• Manage receivables, securing timely payment of debt.
• Preparing draft statutory accounts and liaising with auditors
• Monitoring assets, including stocks and work-in-progress.
• Act as Company Secretary for the Company, and its holding company, Mandeville Publishing Ltd., and ensuring that all reports and returns are made at the appropriate times.
• You will also have some Administrative/Office Management duties

Who we're looking for
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
• Strong academic track record
• Strong track record of success working in industry
• Experience of working in an SME environment would be an advantage
• Energetic, enthusiastic individual with good commercial acumen and interpersonal skills
• A good team player who can develop relationships at all levels within the Company and external stakeholders
• Experience of system development and implementation and a good general knowledge of systems and procedures
