Customer Development Manager

With principal responsibility for developing and delivering new business opportunities, the Customer Development Manager requires results orientated, self-starters with an entrepreneurial flair. People who know their way around the independent on trade in their region; and at the same time can manage and develop strong working relationships.

You will work closely with the our clients existing sales team and be responsible for driving sales oftheir exclusive wine and drinks portfolio through existing customers, as well as hunting for new business.

Who we're looking for
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following key skills;
• A passion for food and drink with a good all round knowledge of wine
• WSET intermediate certificate would be an advantage but not essential
• The ability to match food and wine
• Previous experience in constructing customer wine lists
• The ability to nurture strong working relationships at all levels
• Be confident hosting formal and informal tasting's
• A logical, organised and self motivated approach to work
• An analytical approach as well as an eye for detail
• Demonstrate an understanding of costing calculations and budgets
