For this Divisional Finance Director opportunity in Birmingham the role will support the Divisional Managing Director. It will be a hands-on finance position requiring a track record of business partnering and financial analysis. This position will have a significant impact on the organisation and you must ensure financial controls are in place and adhered to at all times. You will be managing a finance team of 10 and providing training, support and development. Other key responsibilities will include: •Supporting the Managing Director on commercial business decisions to drive increased margins and profitability. • Driving the internal culture and the provision of MI and commercial information for bids, tenders and pricing policies. • Full financial responsibility at a local level and group reporting on a timely basis. • Proactively and effectively challenging performance and assisting the Directors to improve overall business performance.
Who we're looking for
For this Divisional Finance Director the ideal candidate will have/be: A qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with the range of skills to provide both core accounting and finance support to the business and with significant experience of group reporting. A large, corporate background and ideally to have experience of working in a divisional reporting structure. Astute, dynamic, proactive individuals will enjoy the challenges associated with assisting and influencing this successful business as it further grows and develops and to support at board level. A commercial outlook and desire to add value to the organisation and to progress further within the company. Previous experience of managing staff is essential. The ability to drive change and manage projects.
