Objectives of the role *The Sourcing Manager is responsible for the execution of a portfolio of Sourcing projects as directed by the Category Manager in fulfilment of the Category Plan * The Sourcing Manager roleis the primary engine of value-creation, exceeding agreed saving targets andthey shouldbe able todelightstakeholders with their professionalism and commitment to deliver best value
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strategic procurement best practices andbe able toprovide examples of where this has been implemented across a category or categories. Ideally to have exposure tosourcing Capex previously but is not essential. Principal accountabilities * Apply Sourcing methodologies, leading cross-functional teams executing multiple sourcing projects in a portfolio of goods, materials & services - exceeding targets set and delivering sustainable value for the organisation: • Category Profiling - researching the supply market and defining business needs • Strategy development - intelligent, credible and fact-based sourcing strategy. Producing high quality sourcing documentation at each milestone review point. • Effectively communicating and influencing internal & external stakeholders to achieve "buy-in" and maintain progress • Market engagement - conducting RFP & tender processes • Negotiate - Developing effective negotiation strategies and lead face-to-face negotiations • Contract strategy - developing contractual documents which mitigate risks & apply all aspects of the company's Governance • Implement contracts rapidly, supported by thesupplier performanceteam and ensure compliance and planned-value is delivered in practice • Support support the suppler performance team to keep all SAP collateral up to date, e.g. How To Buy Guides, Outline Agreement
