As a Business Partnering Assistant Manager, you will report to a BP Finance Manager, and will support the business through delivery of monthly MI reporting, transaction processing, control and review of source systems, providing finance input to the quarterly valuations process, preparation of business planning and forecasting and providing ad hoc accounting advice as required.
You will support the BP Finance Manager in partnering the business through a trusted adviser model. Working closely with the business and as a key member of the finance team, key responsibilities may include:
• Prepare monthly journals, management accounts and financial control reconciliations for investment legal entities • Development of the BU Management Reporting pack, to enable the business to fully understand the drivers impacting performance, and to support reporting to the consolidation team. • Develop regulatory knowledge on equity portfolio, associated capital requirements and provide reporting thereon. • Processing payments as required by the business and ensuring that each subsidiary is funded appropriately. • Assistance with the quarterly equity valuation review and other risk capital reporting as required • Work closely with the business to prepare annual plans and quarterly forecasts and provide challenge thereon. Ensure all plans/forecasts are loaded to planning system and fully reconciled. • Provide a finance support service to the business team to enable the business to track transactions and business data • Assist Manager in providing transactional and ad hoc accounting advice as required
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (CA / ACCA / CIMA) who ideally has previous experience of accounts preparation, private equity, corporate banking, fund accounting or a business partnering role.
