The Application Infrastructure Architect is a permanent role that can be based in Melbourne or Sydney depending on the candidates preference. Itwill provide technical and business consultative support within the Professional Services division of an organization during the pre-sales and post-sales cycle. You will provide technical leadership for specific data centre products in order to engage the customer or execute an engagement. You will work closely with Sales and Data Centre Program Manager in order to deliver the best solution for the customer.
Design Architect application infrastructure solutions, including the application infrastructure design and deployment solution
Develop, document and communicate Solutions Architecture documents that summarise the solution
Responsible for ensuring the architecture is implemented in accordance to design over entire lifecycle of project, and managing changes to design by ensuring stakeholders are informed and agree to any changes
Engage with business stakeholders and establish working relationships in researching and preparation of business requirements.
Who we're looking for
• Competent at analyzing, developing, deploying, and supporting computing applications in a large-scale enterprise
• Examples of developing detailed application infrastructure designs of the hardware, software, management, physical design, and deployment design requirements
• Deliver solutions that factor in system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability and overall cost to develop and maintain
• Knowledge of prevalent application platforms/technologies (BPM, ECM, SOA, CCF)
• Knowledge of the discipline required to develop object-oriented and packaged applications (.NET, JAVA, J2EE)
• Good understanding and working knowledge of Portal Technologies/Platforms
Portal: MOSS 07/IBM Websphere ERP, Oracle ERP/SAP/Peoplesoft, Email: MS Exchange, Collaboration: MS SharePoint, Integration platform: BizTalk/Fusion/Aqualogic (optional), BI : Oracle/MS SQL 2005/BO/Hypertension
• Expertise using Design and Project Management tools and (like MS-Project)
