The duties will include:
•Underwriting and negotiating our commercial insurance business
•Building relationships with brokers and customers
•Implementing underwriting policies
•Leading negotiations
•Coaching assistant and trainee underwriters

Who we're looking for
Our client is looking for a candidate with the following skills :
• Solid commercial underwriting experience from a Motor class of Insurance
•An excellent understanding of underwriting principles and practice
•Knowledge of compliance and regulatory issues
•Awareness of the insurance market
•Working towards a relevant professional qualification would be desirable
In addition you'll need to show us top-notch relationship-building and communication skills at all levels, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You'll also need to demonstrate a take-charge attitude, along with a track record of managing varied workloads. In addition, a high level of numeracy and computer literacy are essential.
