The successful UK Plant Manager will be based in Aberdeen and will will be responsible for the safe day-to-day operation of the plant, including manufacture, shipment of products to meet customer requirements and waste disposal whilst adhering to company standards and policies. You will also be responsible for ensuring all operations are conducted within the correct operating parameters as laid down in the Plant Operating procedures. Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limit to, the following.
• Management of plant personnel and all associated operations.
• Management of Operational and Capital budgets, prepare an annual budget for Opex and Capex spends.
• Ensure productivity and efficiency in production planning is maintained
• To ensure all operating procedures and quality systems are up to date and represent the current and/or desired industry practices and fall in line with local legislation.
• Ensure effective resourcing of plant.
• Ensure storage and movement of chemicals, vehicles and equipment is managed effectively and follows COMAH guidelines.
• Develop and train personnel in appropriate blending and decanting processes, chemical handling and equipment operation.
• Ensure traceability of all raw materials and finished products through accurate records.
• Ensure facility operates within the guidelines of the Company's Quality Management System.
• Responsible for management of both active and ageing inventory.
• Ensure Champion meets regulations on hazards/safety requirements of transportation.
• Operate to safe operating standards by performing plant audits, reporting incidents and ensuring timely emergency response is available.
Who we're looking for
The successful UK Plant Manager will be based in Aberdeen and will ideally be educated to degree levelin engineering, chemical engineering or chemistry. You must also demonstrate the following.
• Significant and proven management or supervisory experience on manufacturing plants.
• Excellent computer skills including; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Full knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines including; COMAH, UKOOA, PUWER, COSHH and Dangerous Goods as a minimum.
• Ability to manage and lead a team, set goals and objectives and manage performance.
• Trained in transport and shipping regulations relevant to North Sea supply.
• Extensive HSEQ knowledge and ability to carry out risk assessments.
• Ability to communicate and work with a diverse range of personnel, including customers and legislative personnel.
• Proven ability to manage Opex and Capex spend versus budget.
