Value Stream Manager

The role encompasses full value stream ownership for the specification/projects element of the business. This incorporates design, sourcing, planning and manufacturing disciplines and the role is responsible for coordination and leadership of a multifunctional team covering these activities.

The role is also a key developmental role within the business and the ideal candidate will have succession potential to the Operations Director role within 12 months. This role, reporting to the Operations Director and a key member of the Senior Management Team, has responsibility for manufacturing, purchasing and supply chain, warehouse and distribution and a full range of operational support functions. The value stream is focused on delivering bespoke products, efficiently to customers, and as such the role encompasses technical responsibility for the bespoke product design as well as management of an effective communication channel with customer service internally and the end client externally.

Who we're looking for
Degree qualified within an Engineering discipline, you will have been responsible for driving and maintaining effective productivity within the manufacturing process. A natural leader and strategic thinker with exceptional interpersonal skills, you will have worked cross functionally and will be experienced in influencing at all levels. Having worked in a high SKU environment, you will feel comfortable managing complex, global supply chains and will have utilised modern manufacturing tools and techniques. A Six Sigma qualification whilst not essential, is desirable.
