As Global Blue transitions to becoming a B2C company in addition to a successful B2B company, there is a requirement to add new consumer marketing expertise. The Marketing Manager focuses on traveller communication and is a new role that requires a Manager that is able to implement a variety of projects and programs that will drive the maximum return on investment and brand development. Some of the key tasks include:
• To oversee traveller communications in key development markets (including Russia, Switzerland, Emirates, USA, Brazil) to develop and implement annual consumer marketing plans in line with strategic objectives.
• This includes development of traveller communication, including Promotions, Direct Marketing, PR, ensuring alignment with the correct target audiences.
• Build an ongoing CRM plan for deployment in Finland and Russia specifically targeting Russian customers.
• Ensure effective brand, logo and name exposure in all traveller marketing communication.
• Work in collaboration with the Direct Promotions team to develop and implement tactical promotions using the business properties where appropriate. Ensure that all activity is on brand and consumer focussed.
• Ensure engagement for customers through development of targeted special offers, deals etc.
• Work closely with the Marketing Manager - Traveller Relationship Marketing to develop relevant offers and communication to the new traveller database.
• To ensure that the look and feel and messaging of all ATL and BTL as well as online traveller communication is consistent and on brand.
• Ensure effective use of consumer PR and social media in support of objectives.
• Manage day to day Sponsorship/ endorsement activities as well as any other traveller marketing related events.
• Budget management, ensuring effective use of marketing funds and forecasting accuracy on planned activities.
• Effectively manage relevant third party suppliers and vendors relevant to the marketing communication function, namely ATL agency, media agency, activation agency and public relations agency. This includes ensuring contracts are concluded with the parties as needed.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have experience in:
• Presentation and proposal skills, including PowerPoint skills
• Project management skills
• Experience in digital and database marketing.
• Influencing others with ability to garner support and advocacy from cross-functional organizations
• Creative thinker with a desire and tenacity to test innovative solutions for potential roll-out
• Ability to interact at senior levels internally and externally
• Able to manage multiple projects and programs and to prioritise as required.
• Russian language skills and or exposure to the Russian consumer a distinct advantage
.
The ideal background is:
•Significant International consumer marketing experience
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree or demonstration of significant experience
• Proven business acumen and ability to identify opportunities
• Ability to show and take initiative
• Ability to interact with stakeholders at a senior level
• Ability to work effectively in both a team, and independently as a self starter
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills relating to the P & L as well as ability to convert data points into actionable strategies
