Solicitor - Major Finance Initiative

We're about to spend £245 million in new schools And we need a solicitor who can teach us a few lessons.

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader/Senior Solicitor to work with exciting projects such as these. The scope of the work will include large value design and construction contracts, managed service contracts, joint venture approaches, project partnering and PFI project agreements including schools PFI project agreements.

Who we're looking for
The successful applicant will need to be an admitted solicitor with a current practising certificate and have: - 6 months' recent and substantial experience of PFI legal work to include schools PFI
- Substantial 'deal closing' experience
- Specialist knowledge of local government (conventional and PFI) and EU procurement law
- Worked within managed projects to PRINCE 2 or equivalent standards
- The ability to work successfully as part of a team of lawyers and demonstrate leadership skills in a managed project environment
- Experience of acting for local authorities or similar public sector clients
- Experience of the management and use of information technology
