VAT Manager

Your role will involve advising on compliance and planning for a variety of mid tier businesses. An important part of the role will be presentations to clients and potential clients.
• Assisting and advising on due diligence and other Corporate Finance transactions.
• Dealing with VAT tribunal appeals and reconsiderations.
• Visiting medium sized businesses independently or as part of an audit or investigation team to review and report on VAT accounting procedures.
• To assist in the preparation of various returns and reports including registration applications, VAT returns, EC sales lists and Intrastat reports. To review returns prepared by other areas of Smith & Williamson Solomon Hare.

• To correspond with HM Revenue & Customs and other advisors in connection with VAT issues and requests for information or rulings.

Who we're looking for
We are looking for a VAT specialist with a sound basic knowledge of all aspects of VAT to maintain the established VAT service provided by the firm to its varied client base.
