Reporting directly to the Senior Trust Manager, the role involves the management of the Trust team together with direct responsibility for a personal caseload of more complex cases.

Job Analysis

• To build enduring customer relationships through regular contact with Trust clients including attendance of meetings in order to gain a greater understanding of their personal circumstances and objectives.
• To actively seek opportunities to develop relationships with business contacts and promote the company at all times.
• Support the individual team members by providing technical advice and guidance on all aspects of Trusts.
• Supervise, coach and encourage the individual team members to develop their skills and abilities to enable them to realise their full potential.
• To deputise for the Senior Trust Manager in his absence and provide support as required at all other times.
• To provide Management Information on any aspects of Trust reporting as required and manage Trust Section budget.
• Maintain and develop Trust administration procedures to improve operational efficiencies within the Trust team.
• Ensure that new business conversions are taken forward by the Trust team in an efficient manner.
• Ensure that Trust team administer Trust vestings efficiently and in accordance with procedures.
• Authorise Trust investment transactions for Trust Investment team following receipt of recommendations from investment advisors.
• Authorise banking transactions of a higher value.
• Attendance of professional seminars and courses to maintain and develop knowledge of all aspects of Trust law, taxation and other matters relevant to the proper administration of Trusts.
• Ensure the observance of Regulatory rules relating to the job activities.

Who we're looking for
• Fully developed and effective communication skills to set a high standard for Trust team.
• Ability to manage, supervise, develop and coach team members in all aspects of the Management and Administration of Trusts.
• Sound knowledge of administrative procedures and accounting practice relating to Trust administration.
• Fully developed knowledge of the legal and tax implications for Trusts and the ability to communicate this knowledge to the Trust team.
• Sound knowledge of the Financial Services & Markets Act 2000 in relation to Trust activities.
• Awareness of the financial markets with particular emphasis on UK stockmarket.
• Ability to prioritise and organise own workload
• Good teamwork and motivational skills
• Enthusiastic and innovative mindset combined with a willingness to succeed and overcome any difficulties in the performance of the role.
