Reporting directly to the Group Internal Audit Manager you will be assisting in the planning and execution of high level reviews throughout the Group. Key to this will be your ability to understand the business environment and obtain the support and respect of management. You will be required to evaluate the systems of internal control throughout the Group and drive through best practice. You will be asked to provide suggestions and advice to operating management regarding the maintenance and improvement of the internal control environment, and thereby improve the efficiency and effectiveness of systems. Compilation of reports and recommendations on a timely basis via written internal audit reports. There will be other ad hoc projects across the world with specific travel to the US.
Who we're looking for
Ideally you will be an ACA qualified accountant with good knowledge of both substantive and risk based auditing techniques, you will be highly analytical with a good eye for detail. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be challenging operational management throughout the business and helping to educate non-finance staff. Preferably trained within the profession you will have moved into Industry where you will have worked within a large manufacturing company.
