An opportunity has arisen that will provide the right candidate with the chance to be part of a team that will deliver a step change in the visibility of the Banking cost base through a fundamental change in the process of cost allocation. This high profile role will provide an opportunity to develop strong Change Delivery and Customer Relationship Management competencies using standard/unit costing accounting principles. Importantly this role provides real insight into the cost base, what the drivers are and how they are influenced.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, responsibilities include:

• Successfully delivering a change of process by embedding robust Standard Costing to allocate costs in 2007 - the success of this relies heavily on the quality of MI inputs and outputs which is currently reflected by involvement in 2 different work streams
• All responsibilities will involve management on both the current basis and the new Standard Cost basis
• Managing both supplier (charge in) and customer (charge out) relationships in both a BAU and changing environment.
• Annual budget and quarterly forecast
• Monthly internal reporting
• Introducing efficiencies to existing processes (excel based)

The core objectives of Transfer Charging are:
• Performance measurement and reporting - true measure of business performance
• Good Corporate Behaviour - initiate action driving optimum value for PMU and total Group
• Decision Support - decisions based on the real economic cost of business activity

Who we're looking for
Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
This role is pivotal in supporting and working with the Senior Manager throughout this change delivery so key personal pre-requisites include:
• Have excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Flexibility to cope with changing priorities and deadlines
• Be a team player as well as the ability to work independently.
