We are seeking a senior cost estimator to assist the bid team and undertake, oversee and manage the production, submission and negotiation of estimates and tenders, utilising other members of the commercial team, ensuring timely deliverance of premium estimates and tender submissions. The successful candidate will also manage the financial proposition relating to tender submissions developing transparent financial models for both internal and external client purposes in relation to cost savings for tender submissions, and review all tenders both successful and unsuccessful to review and identify areas of improvement and learning.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be able to maintain and create positive links to the clients procurement Manager. Ensure a comprehensive briefing is held for handing over successful tenders to the operational project teams. In conjunction with the Service Director Commercial, apply a thorough risk assessment process to all bids, develop a library of out put and pricing data and monitor and remain within the budget.
You must be able to demonstrate
• Knowledge of financial management and Cost Modeller/ Estimator role
•The ability toproduce multi-disciplined high value, high quality tender submissions
• Be highly numerate and computer literate - specialist in excel required
• Communicate complicated financial and contractual issues to senior management.
• Demonstrate knowledge of costs and out put rate for undertaking service related activities
• Communicate programme and risk related issues
• Have a good technical knowledge of service systems and in the interfaces involved.
