To lead the formulation and delivery of analysis in support of the credit risk team, which focus on credit risk management and credit scoring through the credit cycle i.e. initial assessment and underwriting through to collections, focusing at product and portfolio level.


• Assist with the specification, design, mathematical modelling and development, monitoring and validation of scorecards for use in Risk assessment and other business units / developments as required;

• Structuring and execution of analysis into portfolio, strategy and test performance. Provide a role model for the standard of analysis. Work with other team members to drive business action based on your results;

• Development, collation, interpretation and production of management information to facilitate wider performance understanding of business in response to internal customer demand;

• Co-ordination of test/roll-forward analysis with other parts of the business: e.g. Finance, Marketing. Facilitate working meetings, prepare and presentation of discussion material. Resolution of issues with other parts of the business.

• Clear, concise, effective communication of progress and results is necessary in order to package the ideas in a logical, compelling and influential way, which will ensures success and explicit understanding

• Liaison with IT to ensure that actions are implemented promptly and accurately, and in such a way that effective performance tracking can take place.

Who we're looking for
• Commercial skills. -Create and implement project task plans to accomplish business plan objectives. Understand business plan and financial impact of all programs. Understanding of financial and managerial accounting.
• Analytical ability - Must have the skills to use standard statistical packages such as SAS (preferred) or SPSS. Should be able recognize, anticipate, and create solutions to issues and problems in a timely manner.
• Conceptual thinking - Strong strategic thinker with good intellect and ability to focus on the whole portfolio of credit risk activities and their associated value generation.
• Team working - Commitment and ability to work with, and in, cross-functional and virtual teams - coupled with ability for straight talking.
• Communication - Effectively and concisely communicate key issues and ideas through correspondences and verbally without supervision. Interface with upper management effectively. Interface with various departments effectively to ensure project delivery. Negotiate effectively with suppliers to obtain services.
• Innovation - Create appealing and innovative product concepts and communications. Ability to evaluate financial direct marketing concepts and communications.
