Our clients division within Business Technology and Consulting provide a variety of management consultancy advice to their clients. One of the services they provide is risk and value management both to clients directly and through other units or divisions within the Group.
They are currently looking to recruit staff to join the team as a result of growing demand from our clients for risk and value management services. The potential roles are mainly based in the South East of England though there are opportunities in other regions of the country.
The Risk Management Analyst will be expected to:
* Maintain appropriate Risk Management processes to serve the needs of projects and programmes
* Develop and maintain allocated project risk registers
* Facilitate risk management workshops
* Evaluate confidence levels relating to project forecast spend
* Support risk provision in project business case development
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers over the provision of risk related information and assessments
* Provide support to commercial controllers regarding commercial risk
* For allocated projects, monitor the performance of external risk management resources and activities
* In addition to risk management some knowledge of value management and general project controls will be required
Who we're looking for
Essential academic, professional qualifications and experience:
To apply for this position you will be educated to degree level in a numerate subject such as engineering, science or mathematics.
Desired academic, professional qualifications and experience:
* Ideally professionally qualified with membership of a relevant institution or association e.g. RICS, MICE, MAPM or similar.
* Secondary degree in construction management or similar.
Essential competencies / skills:
* An understanding of complex processes and inter-dependencies
* Ability to analyse programmes, time related activities and cost models
* Ability to use standard software packages including Word and Excel.
* Ability to communicate with others and run workshops amongst technical specialists.
Desired competencies / skills:
* Knowledge of risk management software such as ARM or Predict (database and Monte-Carlo analysis)
* Programming tools such as MS Project or P3.
* Experience of Value Management and Value Engineering tools and techniques.
