Sitting as part of theCapital Investment Team, the main purpose of your role will be to develop, maintain and implement appropriate procedures, processes and systems that support the delivery of the Scottish Water Capital Investment Programme. You will do this through the preparation of investment plans, monitoring the delivery of outputs, undertaking reviews that highlight variations and maintaining complete financial audit trails for each individual project that satisfy both internal and external auditors.
You will also ensure the correct correlation of information across all of Scottish Water's investment management systems and ensure they are maintained with true and accurate information. Scottish Water are recruiting several of these roles to be based in Dunfermline, but there is also the possibility of being based in Glasgow.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will understand financial issues surrounding projects, business drivers and systems - you will enjoy working with professionals from various backgrounds and believe in best practice.
You will have substantial project experience and may even be PRINCE 2 qualified. The successful candidate will have experience in capturing, documenting and chasing of project risks/issues and be able to demonstrate an ability to monitor the progress/performance of projects against plans. You will understand project deliverables and have had exposure to working with Project Managers. Coming from an industry background, such as construction where you will have had exposure to engineering contracts and regulatory requirements, will give your application a strong advantage. In addition, you will be instinctively process driven, analytical and highly IT literate - knowledge/use of Peoplesoft would be ideal.
