This role is based in Weston Super Mare, Somerset and offers the opportunity to work within the heart of the business of this busy practice as part of the senior accounts team. The role will include accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and corporate clients but a significant part of it will involve audit for a variety of quality clients in the Somerset area, so this will be an ideal opportunity for you to hone your audit skills. Additionally you will require some corporate tax knowledge to complete calculations and computations for the Tax department.
You will on occasions be acting as Management Accountant for a number of clients so a thorough knowledge of SAGE will be essential.There may be the opportunity for some involvement in corporate finance assignments or work of a transactional nature. Of particular importance will be your ability to work quickly and accurately to meet a variety of deadlines. It goes without saying that excellent interpersonal skills will be a prerequisite since this is very much a client facing role.
Who we're looking for
You could a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) or alternatively qualified by experience with current or recent experience working in a practice environment coupled with an excellent knowledge of Sage in order to implement on client sites and provide training where necessary.Client care is of the highest importance in this firm so applicants should strive to be available, accommodating with clients and not afraid to give objective advice.The structure of the partnership is such that progression to Partner could be available for the right candidate.
