Managing a caseload of litigated files with a value of up to £30,000 from outset to conclusion.Building relationships with insurer clients and, where relevant, key contacts at large corporate Insured companies.Day to day responsibilities will include: drafting pleadings, witness statements, counter schedules, briefs to counsel, etc; liaising with Claimant solicitors, Insurers, Insureds, witnesses, etc (with a heavy bias towards telephone use); negotiating third party costs and, where necessary, drafting Points of Dispute.
Who we're looking for
Solicitor, Legal Executive or Paralegal who has worked in a commercial environment and ideally in thefield of motor litigation. Strong academic qualifications (a law-specific degree is not essential and in fact a scientific or commercial degree may be useful in this role).
You will be expected to be able to identify market trends, to provide commercially rounded advice to clients and view things from a business perspective. You should be ateam player with a collegiate approach to knowledge sharing and problem solving. You should also haveexcellent negotiation skills, coupled with a confident telephone manner.
