Key functions:
• Provide sound financial advice to senior management
• Provide an effective financial management and reporting service to the company and its subsidiaries.
• Act as the leading interface between management and clients and funds on financial matters.
• Act as the leading interface between the Isle of Man group of companies and the rest of the group. The group parent company is in Cyprus with subsidiaries in London, the Isle of Man and Dubai.
Specific duties and responsibilities
• Ensure that an appropriate financial and administrative framework is in place to support the various fund management operations.
• Ensure the appropriateness and adequacy of systems and procedures for the financial function.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards for the group.
• Ensure consistency in applying accounting policies within the group.
• Liaise with the group's auditors in the timely and accurate preparation of the group's statutory accounts.
• Liaise with the appropriate advisors and staff to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of the group's tax returns and other financial and regulatory returns.
• Contribute to the preparation of the group's strategic plan. Responsible the co-ordinate the annual budget and forecasts.
• Advise on proposed changes to the group structure.
• Overseas treasury function and monitor the groups cash position in order to meet regulatory, operating and investment requirements whilst maximising dividends to shareholders.
• Plan and manage the group's tax liabilities under existing and proposed legislation. Evaluate the tax liability impact of contemplated courses of action, minimise the tax burden and deal with tax authorities.
• Maintain contact with bankers, investment managers, pension advisers and auditors.
• Monitor preparation of consolidated management accounting information for inclusion in board reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to clients and customers.

Who we're looking for
Qualified accountant with experience in fund management or investment banking in addition to one or more of the following:
-the financial sector
-shipping or energy
-asset leasing
-project management
• Experienced manager in an international environment.
• Public company or AIM experience desirable
