Electrical Engineering Technician

Effective and efficient maintenance of all production machines, service plant and research and development machines.
• Ensure all Company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and procedures are practised and appropriate records are kept
• Have a basic awareness of the Company's and own responsibilities in terms of Health, Safety and Environmental
• Report all accidents, observations, environmental complaints and uncontrolled releases
• Use the correct Personal protective Equipment (PPE) where necessary
• Ensure a high standard of housekeeping
• To ensure that all equipment is maintained to a safe standard
• Continuously seek ways to improve the safety of equipment
• Carry out all tasks in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy
Maintain a high level of housekeeping while undertaking all tasks
• Fault finding and diagnostics, equipment repair, getting equipment running efficiently
• Carry out planned maintenance schedules within given timescale,
• Record all work carried out and any further action required together with identifying any future spares requirements
• Undertake workshop repair of machine components, conversant with circuit diagrams and the use of hand/machine tools, able to use diagnostic and test instrumentation
• Identify needs for continuous improvement, carry out design and manufacture from drawing board to installation
• Inputting information into computerised maintenance system, recording all tasks and stores movement
• Keep all machine drawings up to date noting modifications

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will be prepared to work a rotating night / day shift pattern which has holidays included in the shift pattern. You will be familiar with working in an open planned environment in a modern facility. You will be an enthusiastic person who is open to learn new processes and be a hands on type person who ideally has had working knowledge of AC and DC drives and PLC work.You will be prepared to work on a mixture of facilities plant and process machinery which includes fault finding and general maintenance. You will be a time served apprentice or have a relevant qualification and have at least 2 years working knowledge of a continuous manufacturing plant.
