Cost Manager

The Capital Projects team are part of the Corporate Real Estate team and are responsible for the fit out of new properties and the refurbishment of existing properties throughout the organisations worldwide property portfolio.

Principal Accountabilities of the Cost Manager include:

• Support the delivery of all capital programmes through evaluation of the business requirements and direct cost effective design solutions optimising cost, quality and time.

• Develop programmes with target milestones, review progress and reprioritise, developing alternative solutions to maintain individual project programmes.

• Commercial Management, collaborating with internal stakeholders to produce tender documentation reflecting business requirements.

• Introduce comparative model cost data across all types of project.

• Review and redefine contract administration requirements.

• Ensure all works are carried out to legal and statutory compliance.

Who we're looking for
The Cost Manager needs to combine professional and technical skills with an open management style in order to collaborate with internal stakeholders and also motivate and manage external suppliers. It is essential to develop, maintain and deliver a strong customer service focus reflecting the needs of differing customers.

It is essential that the Cost Manager is a Member of RICS, CIOB, CIBSE or similar professional body and able to demonstrate extensive experience in the Construction Industry.

The Cost Manager will have excellent analytical skills with a good standard of IT literacy, and be able to demonstrate experience of database cost control systems.
