Procurement Consultant for a top global consultancy

London, Birmingham, Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester, Liverpool

Permanent ⁄ £35000 - £45000

The role of Procurement Advisor will entail aspects of profit improvement, procurement transformation, and risk management.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

· To focus as a key client facing delivery resource for Procurement Advisory Services within the national procurement team. This will require working primarily within one of the regional teams (London, Leeds and Birmingham) but also working flexibly within the rest of the UK and possibly overseas as work requires.
· To provide support with regard to business development activity within the team. This will include proposal and presentation support, developing propositions and attending client meetings as required.
· To develop further business opportunities within the existing client base.
· To achieve an annual utilisation target of 85%.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidates will:

· Have a good procurement track record demonstrating strong delivery
· Benefit from private and/or public sector experience
· Develop close working relationships
· Involve stakeholders in the development and/or implementation of solutions
· Maintain focus on deliverables
· Be confident and articulate in all stakeholder interactions

The successful candidate will ideally possess a number of the following skills:

Wide category knowledge of both direct and indirect areas. In particular a working knowledge of IT, Facilities Management and Media/Advertising buying.
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) skills.
Low Cost Country Sourcing (LCCS) experience.
Project and programme delivery as part of a team.
Language skills are a positive.
